Essential Duties, Functions & Responsibilities -- Perform varying manual, repetitive tasks to remove organs and parts from slaughtered turkeys -- Perform repetitive tasks with assistance of tools, such as knives and scissors, to remove organs and parts from slaughtered turkeys -- Train to proficiency to rotate through jobs and perform multiple tasks within the department -- Perform any job in the department at the supervisor---s discretion Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Characteristics -- Ability to follow all facility rules, regulations, and guidelines, including but not limited to attendance policy, safety policies, USDA regulations, and GMPs -- Ability to learn assigned tasks as required and meet performance specifications Ability to work in a fast-paced environment -- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Working Conditions -- Assigned job duties may change and vary day-to-day depending upon production needs -- Department temperature fluctuates according to season (i.e., colder in winter, warmer in summer) -- Damp-to-wet conditions in the area -- Loud/noisy environment (86 --- 99 dB) -- Exposure to raw meat and associated parts, including but not limited to organs, blood, and feces Physical Requirements -- Standing for up to four (4) hours at a time (time between breaks, and then from last break until end of shift) -- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to sixty (60) pounds -- Ability to grip, grasp, and lift repetitively through the course of the workday -- Ability to wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) and hygiene equipment, including but not limited to bump cap/hard hat, steel-toed footwear, hearing protection, smock, and gloves Minimum Qualifications -- No minimum education requirement -- No previous work experience required -- Must be at least eighteen (18) years old -- Must be eligible to work legally in the United States Butterball, LLC is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to the fair and impartial treatment of all employees and applicants for employment without regard to gender, age, race, religion, color, national origin, physical or mental disability, military/veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, genetic information, marital status, parental status, pregnancy, or any other status protected by law.
