Job DescriptionOur Manufacturing Operations teams are the people that make our products. We work in the manufacturing plants with a "Safety First, Quality Always" mindset striving for continuous improvement. We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.The Operations Coach provides leadership, cross-functional development, tactical direction and technical expertise to operational and clerical personnel in various stages of team development in the packaging of Wilson products.Responsible for teams and all operational activities affecting the business.Maximizes the potential of all team members and fosters an environment that allows for progressive continuous improvement of skills. Position ResponsibilitiesEmployee Development - People ManagementAssists the team with development of objectives and ensures alignment with site goalsProvides timely feedback and evaluates/addresses performance of direct reportsAssesses employee training/development needs and implement actions to address those needsSupports employee development initiatives in alignment with the business needsLine ProductionTroubleshoots equipment problems, identifies need for new equipment and/or modifications to existing equipment to reduce downtimeInitiates/engages in problem solving and identify short-term and long-term actions to prevent problem reoccurrenceAdheres to the applicable escalation process for safety, quality and downtime eventsApproves IQ/OQ/PQ/CC and other documentsPartners with Company Production System (CPS), Process Improvement Engineers and Operators to identify and implement continuous improvement initiativesEvaluates and serves as the point-of-contact for all new equipment and/or modifications to existing processes or equipmentManages adherence to CPS principles, defined line performance standards and key performance indicators utilizing applicable Lean/Six Sigma toolsInformation TransferAttends departmental and team meetings focused on equipment/process improvement;Serves as liaison between shifts, teams, IPTs, and COEs;Participates and/or Leads Tier MeetingsComplianceUses Root Cause Analysis tools to identify true root cause for quality and safety events.Authors, reviews, approves and/or participates in quality investigations.Initiates, reviews and approves safety investigations;Participates in internal and external audits and inspections;Identifies quality-related trends and facilitates implementation of corrective actionsCreates/Revises Standard Operating Procedures, Forms and other batch-related documentsFinancialAdheres to and monitors operating budget and staffing plan per Profit Plan.Recognizes and investigates opportunities for financial savings;LeadershipModels Company Leadership Principals and Inclusive BehaviorsActs as part Site Extended Leadership TeamEducation Requirements High School Diploma/GED orB.S. degree from an accredited college/university, preferable with emphasis in a science or engineering related disciplineRequired Experience and SkillsMinimum of five years production/manufacturing, preferable in a cGMP environmentDemonstrated leadership, interpersonal, technical aptitude, and problem-solving skillsEffective team building skills, including ability to coach/develop work teams, provide training, motivate/empower others, and resolve conflictFlexible and able to manage multiple prioritiesGoal oriented and able to manage risksEffective verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated knowledge of Operational Excellence tools and methodologyWorking with SAP inventoryTwo years coaching/supervisoryShiftAvailability to work off-shifts and/or weekendsOur Manufacturing & Supply Division is dedicated to being the most trusted supplier of bio-pharmaceuticals worldwide.
