Job Description:
Position Summary This position is for an initial term of three
years and is renewable upon review. The UNC -CH Department of
Mathematics seek a dynamic person who is prepared to teach and
design undergraduate math courses, including courses in the
calculus sequence in a large-enrollment setting. The successful
candidate will also be expected to serve as a course coordinator to
manage a team of faculty and graduate student TAs, to perform
administrative duties in support of teaching, such as managing
placement testing or supervising undergraduate classroom
assistants, and to collaborate with other faculty members engaged
in similar efforts. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, And
Experience Demonstrated knowledge of scholarship in science
teaching and learning, experience teaching at the college level,
and experience in curriculum design are expected.
