Job Description:

This position is for a recognized expert in Project Management, a thought leader, who establishes and owns project plans. The candidate selected for this position will lead the Wilson transformation activities. Oversees the handling of project problems and leads resolution development for escalated problems. The role requires strong leadership through influence and project management. As a key role in the success of site Wilson activities, the role requires strong cross functional networks, or the ability to establish strong networks, in the Program Office, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Customers.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead Wilson Transformation project to achieve World Class performance for the cross functional IPT.
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding all Operations and Strategic Business Unit goals including quality, cost, schedule, and cash flow.
  • Responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of strategies to continuously improve and enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, quality, and overall performance of the sites within the region.
  • Ensures all sites maintain a continuously improving Environmental, Health and Safety programs
  • Ensures all sites maintain compliance to the Corporate Policies and Procedures, including all ethics and code of conduct policies
  • Facilitates organizational development programs across sites including mentoring and coaching of the site leadership teams and their organizations
  • Responsible for creating and fostering a team oriented, accountable environment
  • Represents the VP of Avionics Operations as needed
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding all site level Operations and Strategic Business Unit goals including quality, cost, schedule, and cash flow
  • Responsible for implementing and executing strategies to continuously improve and enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, quality, and overall performance of the sites within the region
  • Responsible for maintaining a continuously improving Environmental, Health and Safety program at the site
  • Responsible for site compliance to the Corporate Policies and Procedures, including all ethics and code of conduct policies
  • Responsible for organizational development including mentoring and coaching within the site
  • Responsible for creating and fostering a team oriented, accountable environment
  • Represents the Regional Leader as the operations facing focal point for the VPGM as neededBasic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree and 12 years of relevant experience OR
    • Advance degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR
    • In absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience is required
    • Experience of Site level leadership and planning - (Maybe not site but higher level planning)
    • Executive Communication skills - executive presence
    • Experience with and understanding of Collins Management System
