The value stream includes Continuous Fire Detection (sensors), Overheat (linear detectors, mounting hardware, and cables), Suppression (cargo, engine, cabin, lavatory suppression, and dry bay explosion systems), and Electronics (optical detectors and smoke detectors), for Commercial Avionics, Military & Helicopter, Business & Regional, Military Ground Vehicle and Commercial Ground Vehicle channels. -Responsible in 2023 for > $215M in output and > $300M in sales. Current org rolling up to this position is approximately 1,050 employees and 13 direct reports.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strategize and design production plans, balancing tactical and strategic demands considering product introduction, equipment efficiency, materials supply constraints, schedules and staffing requirements to meet operational objectives and business unit goals -
  • Directs the development and implementation of activities in production areas to ensure timely, high quality production at the lowest cost consistent with the quality requirements -
  • Serves as primary champion for quality improvement, CORE and Six Sigma programs at the sites - accountable for reduction of inventory, cost and waste - improves productivity by implementing best practices.
  • Ensure Wilson site adherence and execution to all EHS policies and procedures.
  • Develop strategic facilities plan and ensure cap-x alignment and on plan
  • Drive cost reduction and synergy plans across operations organization
  • Crisis Management executive member / business continuity planning -
  • Talent development Qualifications/Experience Needed:
    • Proven Leadership experience
    • Manufacturing experience
    • Utility talent with experience in roles within the value stream outside of Manufacturing -
    • Ability to lead in challenging times (COVID, WOTF, value stream OTD recovery) and displays the change management acumen to lead people where they might not go themselves.
    • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 18 years of relevant experience
    • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
