• Partner with Director of Corporate Communications to own and manage relationships with new and existing key U.S. and Canada patient advocacy organizations.
• Identify, initiate, and lead the design and implementation of patient advocacy strategies, initiatives and programs with oversight from Director, Corporate Communications.
• Ensure timely communication on projects, including sponsorships, campaigns, with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to amplify programs and support through internal and external communications platforms.
• Measure success of activities and initiatives, including internal and external events, campaigns and other programs.
• Manage all aspects of Patient Advocacy's sponsorships to ensure compliance with internal processes and SOPs; partner with Legal and Compliance team, as needed.
• Manage Patient Advocacy budget; liaise with Finance team, patient organizations, vendors, etc. to ensure spending aligns with allocated funds and is tracked appropriately.
• Ensure all patient advocacy initiatives and programs align with Merz Therapeutics' commitment to serving the patient communities in our therapeutics areas of focus
• Other duties as assigned.Job Related Qualifications/Skills
  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Prior pharmaceutical/biotechnology, agency and/or advocacy organization experience required.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience required.
  • Strong written & presentation skills.
  • Strong communication & organizational skills.
  • Proven track record of successful interactions with patient advocacy groups.
  • Comfort with managing multiple projects at a time required.
  • Ability to foster strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders required.
