    Job Summary





    The intern will be trained on proper laboratory techniques and documentation in a GMP environment. The intern will assist with maintaining the laboratories, including preparation and organization of laboratory glassware, standards, samples, and disposal of laboratory waste.

    Primary Responsibilities







    • Performs a variety of routine laboratory functions such as:cleaning and putting away glassware, logging-in, labeling and storing chemicals, reagents and solutions, inspecting for and removing expired chemical reagents and solutions.





    • Accurately document all necessary and relevant information in a clear and concise manner as per cGMPs, GLP, DEA, and company policies and procedures.





    • Operate and maintain all equipment as per established procedures.





    • Provide assistance to other group members (prepare mobile phases, media, standards, and solutions).





    • Ensure that equipment and working areas are maintained with good safety and housekeeping practices.





    • Remove expired chemicals and restock chemicals and consumables used in analysis.





    • Assist with and perform/gain exposure to a variety of chemical analysis and GMP review of raw materials, packaging components, ancillary solutions, in-process samples, finished product and raw materials.







      Education and Experience Requirements











      Undergraduate level coursework in Chemistry or a related science











      Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities







      • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint





      • A practical and proactive problem-solver





      • Excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills





      • Self-motivated, adaptable to a dynamic environment and the ability to work independently





      • Able to collaborate effectively with cross functional team members and external partners





      • Goal-oriented, project-oriented, and achievement-oriented





      • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities for multiple stakeholders





      • Desire to learn from others and build relationships across the organization













        Additional Information



















        Able to work 3-5 days per week (preferably during core office hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday - Thursday) for the equivalent of a semester.
