Summary : The RN Educator assists with ensuring the Facility's
strategic goals and objectives are met with regard to meeting
overall staff education and compliance. -This position also
provides direct resident care. - 1. Provides educational services
to the Facility. 2. Implement an educational curriculum that
correlates with the needs, as identified of the Administrator, DON,
ADON, and regulatory agencies. 3. Solicits and evaluates new
educational materials, aides and educational resources as needed
and requested 4. Ensures new clinical employees receive necessary
information with regard to organizational policies, procedures and
protocols. 5. Ensures training documentation is maintained so that
status, progress, and participation is easily monitored. 6. Assists
with competency and competency assessment for clinical staff: a.
During new employee orientation b. Validate/document competencies
on-going c. Educational activities to address any competency
issues. 7. Maintain skill/competence in order to provide direct
patient care to residents, including but not limited to assessing
residents' condition, assisting with care plans and documentation,
and administering medications and treatment therapies. 8. Assist
with Admissions, Transfers and Discharges, and help coordinate
facility health care services such as dental, mental health, and
podiatry. 9. Collaborate with physicians and other members of the
health care team including but not limited to daily cluster calls,
facilitating end-of-shift reporting, etc. 10. Evaluate/research
resident care issues to effectively drive outcomes and establish
policies/procedures. Reports to Clinical Education Supervisor -

diploma or equivalent is required An associate's degree is required
- RN - Required Skills Required Skills: - Strong interpersonal
skills - Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal -
Ability to problem solve and think critically - Self-motivated -
Strong planning and organizational skills Required
License/Certifications: - Current/active and unrestricted NC or
compact RN license - BLS certification required or obtained during
the first week of hire - Minimum 2 years experience in a Skilled
