Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse Provide high-quality care to patients in a Med-Surg unit, including post-operative and acute medical patients. Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and respond promptly to changes. Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and recovery instructions. Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes. Respond effectively to emergencies and patient deterioration. Requirements of the Travel Nurse Valid North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Med-Surg or similar care setting. Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
