Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n Cardiac Cath Specialist /n/n Job Details: /n • Assist physicians with obtaining digital radiographic images of heart, peripheral vessels, and other required structures /n• Control radiographic equipment to acquire quality images and set appropriate x-ray acquisition parameters /n• Pan radiographic table so physicians can visualize desired structures /n• Practice radiation safety by utilizing distance and appropriate protective attire /n• Anticipate patient and physician needs and contribute to organized, timely patient care plans /n• Demonstrate expert knowledge in hemodynamics, diagnostic, interventional, and peripheral procedures /n• Perform daily room preparations, quality control checks, and equipment preparation for procedures /n• Conduct in-room inventory and supply management according to JCAHO regulations /n• Document data for patient records, Apollo reporting, charge entry, and image archive /n• Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on cardiac catheterization lab equipment /n• Deliver pre-, during, and post-procedure patient care with accurate documentation /n• Prepare scrub tables and prep patients while maintaining sterile techniques /n• Prepare lines and devices for injectable fluids and inject drugs under physician supervision /n• May perform lead worker responsibilities including training and education of staff /n• Required education: Graduation from accredited Radiologic Science program, special procedures program, nursing school, or completion of cardiac catheterization training course /n• Required certification: ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy/Radiology OR RCIS certification through CCI /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare system operates a comprehensive academic medical center providing advanced cardiac catheterization services.
