Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - ED /n/n Job Details: /n • Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in emergency department setting /n• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in hospital environment /n• One year of nursing experience required /n• North Carolina RN license required /n• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification required (AHA or ARC) /n• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from accredited school of nursing required /n• BSN or MSN from accredited school of nursing preferred /n• Assess patient readiness to learn and developmental factors affecting learning ability /n• Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects /n• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans /n• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs /n• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and plan patient care /n• Participate in professional development and unit performance improvement activities /n• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families /n• Utilize healthcare organization standards, policies and procedures in delivery of care /n/n Facility: /n This major academic medical center is part of a prestigious university health care system known for providing comprehensive medical services and advanced clinical care.
