Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/16/2026 Duration: 8 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ED Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM • 8-week contract assignment • Local travelers preferred • Epic experience required • Free parking provided • Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in emergency department setting • Perform patient assessments including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety needs • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in evaluation of patient care • Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plan • Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs • Participate in patient education and discharge planning • One year of nursing experience required • Nursing Diploma, ADN or ASN from accredited school of nursing required • North Carolina RN license required • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification required (AHA or ARC) • BSN or MSN from accredited school of nursing preferred Facility: This major healthcare system operates a comprehensive emergency department that provides advanced emergency medical care to patients with complex medical conditions.
