Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 03/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n Cardiac Cath Specialist - Cardiac Cath Specialist /n/n Job Details: /n • Assist physicians with obtaining digital radiographic images of heart, peripheral vessels and other required structures /n• Control radiographic equipment to acquire quality images and set appropriate x-ray acquisition parameters /n• Pan radiographic table for physician visualization of desired structures /n• Practice radiation safety utilizing distance and appropriate protective attire /n• Anticipate patient and physician needs and alert physician to changes in patient condition /n• Perform daily room preparations, QCs, and notify appropriate personnel of variances /n• Prepare procedure rooms and equipment for daily use and each procedure /n• Conduct in-room inventory and supply management following JCAHO regulations /n• Document data necessary for patient records, Apollo reporting, charge entry and image archive /n• Retrieve stored information from Witt, HeartLab, ICE, and IVUS systems /n• Deliver pre-, during, and post-procedure patient care with accurate documentation /n• Prepare scrub table and prep patients while maintaining sterile techniques /n• Prepare lines and devices for administration of injectable fluids /n• Inject drugs under direct physician supervision and insert IVs /n• Operate, inspect, troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on cardiac catheterization lab equipment /n• Operate all devices utilized in cardiac cath procedures including IVUS, Combo Map, ICE, HeartLab /n• May perform lead worker responsibilities including training and education of staff /n• Required education: Graduation from accredited Radiologic Science program, special procedures program, professional nursing school, or completion of cardiac catheterization training course /n• Required certification: ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy/Radiology OR RCIS certification through CCI /n• English proficiency required for reading, writing, and speaking /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive cardiac catheterization laboratory providing advanced cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional services.
