Job Description Job Description Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology Location: Goldsboro, NC Position Type: Permanent About the Role We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join a patient-centered care team in a hospital setting. This role is ideal for both experienced RNs and new graduate nurses , offering strong clinical support, professional development, and long-term growth opportunities. Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Oncology RN is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality nursing care using the nursing process, while supporting patients and families through complex and often sensitive care needs. Key Responsibilities Deliver safe, competent, and evidence-based nursing care to oncology patients Assess patient needs, identify expected outcomes, and develop or revise individualized care plans Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care Educate patients and families using appropriate learning tools and assess readiness to learn Perform point-of-care testing in accordance with hospital policies and standards Organize, prioritize, and evaluate care delivery for patients with complex conditions Support discharge planning and advocate for patient and family needs Communicate effectively with team members and provide constructive feedback Promote patient safety, cleanliness, and cost-effective care practices Participate in professional development, unit initiatives, and practice improvement efforts Qualifications Required Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of nursing Active North Carolina RN license BLS certification (AHA or ARC) Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (new graduates also considered) Preferred BSN or MSN from an accredited nursing program Compensation & Differentials Base Pay Range: $30.00 – $51.45/hr (based on experience) Shift Differentials: Evenings: $3.30/hr Nights: $6.00/hr Weekends: $10.00/hr Holidays: 50% of base rate Specialty Differential: $2.00/hr Differentials may be combined Incentives & Bonuses New Graduate RN Commitment Incentive Up to $15,000 over 3 years Experienced RN Commitment Incentives Days: Up to $30,000 Nights: Up to $40,000 Inpatient/Float Pool roles eligible for enhanced incentives Relocation Assistance (2-year commitment) $2,500 – $10,000 (based on mileage) Pay-in-Lieu-of-Benefits (PLB) Option Full-Time: 30% base rate Part-Time: 20% base rate Company Description LanceSoft is rated as one of the largest staffing firms in the US by SIA.
