Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/13/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in a hospital setting • Report and be accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process • Assess patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects of care • Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plan • Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs • Participate in patient education and assess readiness to learn of patients/families/caregivers • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in evaluation of patient care • Consult with appropriate resources regarding patients with complex care issues • Participate in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities • Promote cost-effective care and maintain safe, clean and secure hospital environment • One year of nursing experience required • Nursing Diploma, ADN or ASN from accredited school required (BSN or MSN preferred) • North Carolina RN license required • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) required • English language proficiency in reading, writing and speaking required Facility: This healthcare facility is part of a comprehensive university health care system providing advanced medical services and clinical excellence.
