Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in
School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1
years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This
contracted opportunity is for a School Psychologist serving the
2026-2027 school year, providing vital psychological services
within a local school district in Richlands, NC. The role supports
student development across cognitive, social, behavioral, and
mental health domains by delivering comprehensive assessments and
tailored interventions. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate and
promote cognitive, social, functional, and personal development for
all students. Identify and assess students learning, behavioral,
developmental, and mental health needs. Use assessment data to
develop effective intervention programs and support plans.
Collaborate in program planning, development, and evaluation to
foster student growth. Consult with parents, teachers, school
personnel, and community agencies to enhance student outcomes.
Provide planned, coordinated psychological services and participate
actively as an IEP team member. Uphold professional ethics,
standards, and applicable laws governing school psychology
practice. Maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with
stakeholders, and meet deadlines. Engage in ongoing professional
development and participation in relevant organizations.
Qualifications: Must hold or be eligible to obtain a North Carolina
educators license as a School Psychologist. Ability to meet
physical requirements including prolonged standing, walking,
lifting (up to 30 lbs), and navigating busy school environments.
Strong communication skills and ability to assist in student
behavioral support including therapeutic and de-escalation
procedures. Must have reliable transportation to travel among
school sites within the district. This 10-month contracted position
offers the opportunity to contribute positively to student
well-being and educational success by implementing evidence-based
