Our Engineers support internal and external manufacturing operations remain operational, continuously improve and innovate. With our extensive range of facilities and environments, our Engineers have opportunities across many diverse areas including Biological, Chemical, Automation, Capital Projects, Maintenance, Safety, Process Development, Technical Services, Utilities and Validation.


Employee Development | People Management

+ Assists the team with development of objectives and ensures alignment with site goals

+ Provides timely feedback and evaluates/addresses performance of direct reports

+ Assesses employee training/development needs and implement actions to address those needs

+ Supports employee development initiatives in alignment with the business needs

Line Performance

+ Initiating/leading problem solving to identify short-term and long-term actions to prevent problem reoccurrence, reduce production downtime and increase productivity

+ Authoring deviations in response to operational quality events

+ Correcting batch record errors to enable timely batch record release

+ Following standard work for escalation as it related to safety, quality and downtime events

+ Timely approval of qualification, change control, procedures and other documents

+ Providing operational Subject Matter Expert support/leadership for the installation of new equipment and/or modifications to existing processes and/or equipment

+ Manages adherence to Company Production Systems (CPS) principles, defined line performance standards and key performance indicators utilizing applicable Lean/Six Sigma tools

Information Transfer

+ Attends departmental and team meetings focused on equipment/process improvement

+ Serves as liaison between shifts, teams, IPTs, and Centers of Excellence (COEs)

+ Participates and/or leads tier meetings


+ Uses Root Cause Analysis tools to identify true root cause for quality and safety events.

+ Authors, reviews, approves and/or participates in quality investigations.

+ Initiates, reviews and approves safety investigations;

+ Participates in internal and external audits and inspections;

+ Identifies quality-related trends and facilitates implementation of corrective actions

+ Creates/Revises Standard Operating Procedures, Forms and other batch-related documents


+ Adheres to and monitors operating budget and staffing plan per Profit Plan

+ Recognizes and investigates opportunities for financial savings


+ Models our Company Leadership Principals and Inclusive Behaviors

+ Acts as part Site Extended Leadership Team

**Education Requirements**

+ High School diploma or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university, preferable with emphasis in a science or engineering related discipline

**Experience and Skills**


+ Minimum five years production/manufacturing, preferable in a cGMP environment

+ SAP inventory

+ Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, technical aptitude, and problem-solving skills

+ Strategic team skills, including ability to coach/develop work teams, provide training, motivate/empower others, and resolve conflict

+ Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities

+ Goal oriented and able to manage risks

+ Effective verbal and written communication skills


+ Demonstrated knowledge of Operational Excellence tools and methodology

+ Two years coaching/supervisory experience


+ 2nd Shift | Work off-shifts and/or weekends
