This position supervises a team of support and/or production
level or hourly/direct employees in Manufacturing Operations. Sets
day-to-day activities and assists in managing and monitoring
production operations, maintenance, plant engineering, scheduling
Ensures all quality related items for cell are complete and
documented to meet established quality standards.
Assists in cost reduction and process improvement to ensure
efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.
Assists in scheduling for one cell so that production schedules
Assists in sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, for a
cell to optimize productivity.
Coordinates activities for materials and logistics problem
resolution of a cell to ensure availability of materials and smooth
Monitors cell performance and productivity of a cell to maximize
Assists in production innovation, including additive
manufacturing, of a cell to enhance the cell's production
Interfaces with customers to understand customer needs and
issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards
Responsible for all or a major portion of processing operations
in a plant.
Oversees production operations and personnel (shop floor
management, workforce management, and flow disruption management)
with indirect guidance of maintenance, plant engineering, and
Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production
disciplines in the Operations function.
Performs professional or management work regularly across
multiple Manufacturing disciplines.
- Includes activities that cannot be attributed to a defined
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder
Demonstrated experience leading large teams in a manufacturing
- Ability to work 3rd shift hours and overtime, as needed
Business acumen and knowledge with continuous improvement / lean
tools and practices.
Supervisory experience with large teams
Experience with AutoTime, SAP, and MS
- 3+ years manufacturing supervisor experience
