This position is for a skilled professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in weld manufacturing engineering with the experience in design of welding sequences, implementation of various welding processes across multiple cells, execution of process and product improvements, and review of manufacturability of existing and future product.Primary Responsibilities:Experience managing projects of welder installation and qualificationExperience developing and qualifying welds with various metalsExperience in TIG, MIG, Laser and other automated weldingExperience with NADCAP requirements and audits as well as other certifying bodiesExperience training and qualifying of operatorsExperience using NDT and DT methods to evaluate weldsExperience troubleshooting and developing calibration requirements for weld equipmentEvaluates potential solutions related to changes in equipment design, procedures, manpower, personnel, or training to ensure the most efficient sequence of operations and workflowEstablishes and implements quality control objectives, activities or procedures to resolve production problems, optimize product reliability or minimize costsReviews and provides analytical input to documents and operational procedures to support studies pertaining to cost control, production improvement, cost savings, inventory control and production record systemsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience ORAdvanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience ORIn absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is requiredEngineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulationsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office SuitePreferred Qualifications:Formal degree or certification sin welding or weld technologyLaser welding specific certification or formal trainingNDT technology degree or certificationNADCAP prior experienceLean Manufacturing Engineering experienceSAP experienceCollins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
