    Job Summary
    The Process Support Specialist provides technical support to the Manufacturing and Packaging processes in an oral, solid dose GMP environment. This role will be part of the Operation's Manufacturing and Packaging team and will provide technical expertise based on well-grounded engineering principals, equipment specifications, process requirements and business need. The Process Support Specialist supports the Operations team to ensure that equipment remains operational and efficient while striving for continuous improvement and innovation.
    The Process Support Specialist works closely with the Manufacturing, Packaging, Maintenance/Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality teams to determine corrective and preventive actions. The role will collaborate and provide technical support in tech transfer, process changes and the identification and execution of continuous improvement projects to the operations process.

    Primary Responsibilities
    • Function as a technology and process subject matter expert for the operations team.
    • Provide technical support to manufacturing and packaging processes and equipment.
    • Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve difficult equipment and operational problems
    • Assist with change controls for process and procedure changes.
    • Author or revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), job aids, and other controlled documents.
    • Understand and recommend solutions for equipment reliability issues.
    • Collaborate with various teams to support technology transfer for new or updated processes and process improvements for Operations.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies, and support implementation efforts.
    • Participate in Quality Investigations, including writing/reviewing and approving Investigation documentation.
    • Provide technical training for Operation's personnel.
    • Monitor in process equipment to ensure it is in proper working order and assist in ensuring an adequate spare parts inventory is available.
      Education and Experience Requirements
      • Bachelor Science degree preferred in a Science such as Industrial Technology, Engineering, Chemical or Bio Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
        • Scientific understanding in oral solid dosage (OSD) principles.
        • Experience in Process qualification and validation
        • Strong verbal/written communication skills
        • Strong experience writing and revision controlled, technical documentation (e.g. SOPs, job aids, work instructions, forms, specifications, protocols, reports, etc.) in the pharmaceutical industrySupervisory Responsibilities (if Applicable)
          There are no supervisory responsibilities.
          Physical and Environmental
          • Occasionally, transport materials using manual, and power assisted vehicles including manually pushing and pulling drums, totes, boxes, and pallets.
          • Frequently push, lift and maneuver boxes and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
          • Ability to work standard schedule of 10 hours a day, Monday-Thursday and overtime as needed.
