Regular or Temporary:Regular Language Fluency: English (Required) Work Shift:1st shift (United States of America) Please review the following job description: Under supervision, support the organization via call center by maintaining thorough knowledge of BB & T Payroll Practices and Human Capital Systems. Provide associate and management support and guidance in the use of the self service system. Deliver the Perfect client experience while working under critical time schedules. Meet critical timeline of events to execute the payroll operations process. Perform a wide variety of controls and audit functions to ensure the integrity of information uploaded and /or keyed into the payroll system. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. Provide BB & T managers with the necessary support to educate and ensure comprehension of compliance with payroll regulations and guidelines. Educate managers and associates on the proper procedures to complete tasks required in the system regarding Time Tracking, Status Changes, Compensation Changes, etc. Respond to incoming emails received in the team mailbox timely and accurately. Determine if requested associate data changes have timing issues or require additional manual calculations and identify the impact on the associate's pay. Make all necessary adjustments to calculations, pay amounts, effective dates, etc. and enter the associate transactions accordingly. Respond promptly to incoming Service Center calls to minimize abandonment rates. Provide system support of the Brassring/Kenexa (recruiting) and internet registration for Workday and the Workday system by asking the appropriate probing questions of the associate or manager to determine the level of diagnostic instruction needed. Log all incoming calls from associates and managers into Service Now and CRTS for purposes of research, resolution, and customer service quality. Project a positive image of Human Systems Division by providing superior client service in a professional manner, and respond with superior customer service to clients' inquires and concerns. Run and analyze numerous audit reports to determine accuracy of the data to be utilized in the processing of each payroll schedule. Provide documentation for audit purposes as required. Maintain a high level of expertise and knowledge in the areas of payroll and tax calculations, as well as BB & T Policy and Procedures and regulatory guidelines in order to ensure compliance and provide superior support and advice to BB & T managers and associates. Utilize audit reports to identify and resolve any data issues prior to payroll processing. Decide which audit reports need to be run and analyzed dependent upon current events and other dependencies to ensure the integrity of data used to process payroll. This decision is typically made independently or in conjunction with management consultation. Work closely with Team Lead and management to resolve any complex data issues or associate inquiries. Act as liaison between other departments to resolve any issues that require collaboration with the accounting, tax, reporting, Workday Support, and Associate Relations teams to determine solutions to pending issues. Make adjustments and corrections necessary to ensure the most accurate up-to-date associate records are maintained. Perform user acceptance system testing for a wide variety of processes and production changes to the Workday system. Have a global view and conceptual understanding of overall Human Systems operations. Demonstrate an advanced knowledge of the Human Capital system understanding dependencies between systems and how they affect the overall payroll process. Required Skills and Competencies: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Associate's degree or equivalent education and related training Three years of payroll and/or call center experience Ability to perform payroll calculations, such as taxes for manual checks, pay rate for various adjustments, etc. Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products Strong analytical skills, reasoning and organizational skills Ability to handle complex situations which require sound judgment Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, tax and legal updates and payroll/benefits correspondence Ability to perform assigned duties with minimal direction and supervision Capacity to quickly learn and understand system functionality Ability to travel, occasionally overnight Desired Skills: Two years of experience as a Human Systems Operations Center Specialist I Fundamental of Payroll Certification (FPC) from the American Payroll Association Two years of payroll experience BB & T is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers all qualified applicants regardless of race, gender, color, religion, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, veteran status or other classification protected by law.
