Job Title: Clinical Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: MedSurg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 36.00 Experience: One (1) year of nursing experience License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification Must-Have: - Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing Description: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reports and is accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director. Coordinates and delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self. Attends education programs based on identified learning needs. Uses patient education materials relevant to patient population with assistance. Assesses readiness to learn of the patient/family/caregivers. Assesses developmental level of patient and factors affecting their ability to learn. Identifies expected patient outcomes in the evaluation of care. Seeks guidance as needed in revision of the plan of care. Participates in discussion with members of the interdisciplinary team regarding patient care evaluation. Participates in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities. Effectively uses communication systems. Participates in promoting cost-effective care.
